Lauren and Jordan's wedding

Jordan and Lauren's wedding

As I mentioned before, Jordan and Lauren's wedding was classy all the way! I shot their rehearsal dinner on Friday night and the wedding the next day. I loved photographing the rehearsal dinner because it got everyone used to having me around - on the wedding day ... they hardly noticed me.

The rehearsal dinner was at Longworth Hall (one of my favorite places to photograph - although normally I am OUTside). They had an area upstairs that was set up to handle the crowd! Now while there were more shots of the adults at the dinner ... I had a lot of fun photographing the kids ... so I am showcasing them a bit more here.

I'm not even sure a human body is supposed to 'twist and contort' in this way ... apparently they have been watching too much UFC TV!

One of the kids lost his tooth during the dinner .. and this was the reaction he got as he took it around the room to show everyone ...

Jordan was a hit with the little ladies!

Jordan and Lauren had these HUGE lollipops for the kids to enjoy ... which of course turned everyone's mouths black! So fun!

They had a DJ and even someone to help teach people some dance moves ....

I love the shot of this couple just watching the 'goings on' from the comfort of their seats ...

The kids had been crawling around on the floor so much that this little one's stockings had holes in the knees! I totally love it!

The had photo books out for people to enjoy ...

dessert!

The next day I met up with Jordan and Lauren at the Pheonix downtown where their ceremony and reception were held ... I was greeted by delightful bouquets and fabulous feathers - setting the tone for the day ... all done by MtLookout Sprouts

I found the couple practicing their first dance in the ballroom.

the little one's dresses ...

Lauren had some of the best jewelry ... for instance, her bracelet ...

getting her hair done ...

Jordan came in and got his hair done as well. Lauren's sister works at Curabella in Hyde Park and she did a wonderful job making Jordan looked dashing!

Just a beautiful shot of one of the bridesmaids ... such great light ...

the bouquet ...

Lauren checking her hair accessory placement in the mirror ...

the girls ...

getting her makeup on ...

a little coloring book to keep the kids busy ...

Lauren's sister checking out her makeup ...

The wonderful Mollie Elliott working her make-up magic ...

The famous 'model in a bottle' ...

getting the dress on ...

Jordan went back to the 'guy's room to finish getting ready ....

admiring some of the art on the walls of the Pheonix ...

a note from Lauren ...

I don't always show the bridal party shots on the blog ... so I thought it was time to post one ...

they are just so much fun to photograph ...

a little sun flare ... did you really think I could shoot a session without it when it was so readily available? Come on!

This is a shot I made of the groom's parents sitting during the Tish ...

where they were wished tons of well wishes and a happy life together ... they also told stories ... it was a wonderful family time ...

then it was time to get married! Here is the ACTUAL marriage. Once you sign the ketubah, you are officially married. The ceremony afterward is just to share with family and friends. I also have to make a quick comment about the rabbi. She was an absolute treat. I loved working with her. She is so thoughtful and caring.

Jordan signing ...

Isn't the ketubah beautiful? They are true pieces of art ...

I just liked this photograph of this man waiting for the ceremony to begin and you can see him holding the wedding program. Lauren did all of the graphics for the wedding herself and I was awestruck at her amazing talent. She is so creative and it showed in every detail of the wedding ...

as we exited the ceremony ... they had the signature 'Berry Mojitos' waiting for everyone ...

The reception site set up ... they brought in a lighting company that did a spectacular job ...

the bouquet against the red walls ...

Their first dance was a foxtrot and they did it flawlessly! Everyone gathered around the dance floor to see ... it was wonderful ...

the toast by Jordan's mother ...

that got her a bit choked up ...

Jordan's brother went next ...

then dinner was served ...

and after ... the hora!!!

Soul Pocket kept the dance floor HOPPIN' the rest of the night ...

Jordan and Lauren ... what a treat! I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful couple! I enjoyed every minute of your fabulous friends, family and wedding! Thank you for allowing me to capture such an important day in your lives. I wish you a lifetime of happiness!
