Caroline and TJ's engagement

Caroline and TJ's engagement
It was one of those weeks of firsts for me. I have never done an engagement session in my studio before. So when Caroline mentioned that she wanted some studio shots, I thought 'heck yes!'
Caroline has such a great smile and and a fun-loving personality and TJ is just laid back and goes with the flow. I couldn't wait to get started!
Here are a few shots from our time ...
So cute!
Then we headed just down the street to get a few 'park' shots for them ...
I love the height difference between these two. They are absolutely adorable!
Caroline and TJ, I want to congratulate you on you engagement! I can't believe the wedding is right around the corner!!!

Sam's senior pictures

Sam's senior pictures ...
Sam's uncle was the best man at our wedding. So, it goes without saying that I know the family pretty well. She is so grown up from the first time I met her and I was honored to have been able to photograph her in her senior year of highschool. Here are a few pics from our time ...
We started out in the studio ...
added some wind and some fun high-key lighting ...
Then it was off to Ault Park ...
Ummm ... hello big beautiful blue eyes!
Sam ... I hope you have a fantastic senior year! I had a lot of fun with you! I wish you nothing but the best in life!

Jessica and Ryan's engagement

Jessica and Ryan's engagement
I met up with Jessica and Ryan at a covered bridge near our houses. I believe it is situated on the busiest road EVER! We had to keep moving out of the way for traffic! It was crazy. In spite of that, we had a great session and we got some great images of the two of them ...
Jessica and Ryan ... congratulations on your engagement! I had a great time with you two!

Leah and Bryan's wedding

Leah and Bryan's wedding
I headed up to Macy's in Tri-County to photograph the girls getting their hair done. I definitely got a lot of strange looks as I carried my two cameras up the escalator with me, but then, I get a lot of strange looks even when I don't have cameras on me :) Leah and Bryan hired me over a year ago for their wedding. They liked the idea of having someone there to document the day without a lot of input from them. They, like most couples, just wanted to enjoy the day and I was all for that!
Here are a couple of shots from the salon ...
Leah's sister looks on as Leah gets her hair done ...
The hairstylist at the Macy's in Kenwood did a FANTASTIC job! I think Leah's hair came out exactly like the photo that she showed the stylist.
Then it was downstairs for some makeup ...
Off to Garfield Suites to get the dress on and to meet up for some photos.
it was a windy day so I got a couple of fun veil shots.
Could these two be any more in love?
We were in the middle of taking a shot of the girls and Bryan decided to walk right through our photo to throw something away ... I love the way the girls are all laughing at him!
The new Mr. and Mrs!!!
Their first dance ...
a dance with her father ...
a dance with his mother ...
a couple of toasts ...
and, of course, the cutting/feeding/smashing of the cake :)
Leah and Bryan, I wish you both a lifetime of happiness. I had such a great time at the wedding. I don't think it could have gone any better! You are such a fabulous couple and I thank you for sharing your day with us.
A big thank you to Karen for being by my side and for helping me with everything!

Melissa's headshots

Melissa's headshots
Melissa called me a couple of weeks ago. She needed to get some new headshots for her portfolio. I was so excited because I really love working with her. She's so fun and we always get great photographs. So, I thought I would share a couple from our session ...
