Kim and JP: the engagement

Kim and JP: the engagement
Kim and JP's engagement session was at her parent's farm. I am always a huge fan of doing the engagement session somewhere that has some personal meaning to the couple (when possible). Their farm was the perfect backdrop and Kim and JP felt right at home. We met up early in the morning to take advantage of some nice morning light. Here are a few of my favorites from their session ...
So, I loved the idea of having the horses head in this picture ...
and it was a great idea ... right up until he bit JP on the shoulder!
Kim and JP, I can't wait for the wedding! Congratulations!!!

Holly and Dan: the engagement

Holly and Dan: the engagement

When Holly emailed me about photographing her wedding this March, I wasn't too sure about photographing a wedding in early March. It was usually my time off. Then I noticed that she signed off her email with "Cheers, Holly". That is exactly the way I end my emails! Well, that coupled with the fact that their wedding was going to be at the French House - one of my favorite places to photograph weddings made it official ... I HAD to work with her! As if all of that wasn't enough ... when I met Holly and Dan for the first time ... I was SOLD.

L.O.V.E. them!

Their engagement session was super fun. First we wandered around Northside ...

Their baby, Girl.

After Northside, we went around the corner to Mt. Storm.

Holly and Dan ... I think it goes without saying that I cannot wait for your wedding!!!

Catherine and Jeremy: the engagement

Catherine and Jeremy: the engagement

Catherine and Jeremy are two people who you meet and think ... those two are PERFECT for each other. I met with them about photographing their wedding and was SOLD. I even wished the wedding was sooner! We had a fantastic session and I think I adore them even more.

Catherine said to me ... 'wow. I'm really nervous. How do all of your couple's make it look so easy?' ... I told her ... 'people are going to look at your pictures and say the same thing' - they really just enjoyed being with each other and that is what it is all about. Here are a few of my favorites ...

BTW - the fabulously talented, Nancy, from Brideface did Catherine's makeup. Wowza!
