Rachel and Jonathan: the wedding

Rachel and Jonathan: the wedding

Rachel and Jonathan's wedding was the perfect summer's day wedding and it was held at the fabulous Shaker Run golf course. The weather was perfect and the day couldn't have gone any better. I started at the bride's parent's house for some details and some getting ready shots. Here are just a few images from their wedding day ...

Rachel wore some vintage family heirlooms for her jewelry ...

her mom did her makeup for the day ...

her dad had spent the morning getting the site set up just the right way ... so he showed up at the house right before we headed out ...

giving directions to one of the bridesmaids ...

the girls wanted to get dressed at the golf course, so Rachel and her mom got the dress bagged up for safe travel ...

and we headed out ...

taken from my car on the way to the golf course with the bride and bridesmaids in front of me ...

getting dressed ...

the guys spent the morning at the golf course getting dressed and playing cards ...

Rachel and Jonathan wanted to see each other before the ceremony so we could get all of the photos done beforehand ... here is their 'first look' ...

guests arriving for the ceremony ...

this next photo - I liked it as a scene setter ... shows the warm summer evening sun we had ...

the florist incorporated some artichokes into the ceremony decor ....

a different view of the ceremony ...

getting the rings ...

after the ceremony ... the shoes came off ....

making it official ...

after the maid-of-honor's speech ... she and her sister hugged ...

I think this was one of Rachel's uncles ... I love the look on her face as he kisses her hand ...

they had cupcakes instead of a cake ...

the end of the evening ...

Rachel and Jonathan, your wedding was such a beautiful event and I was honored to be a part of it. Congratulations to you both and I wish you a lifetime of happiness ...
