Mollie and I hit it off right away. She's a girl after my own heart. What a fabulous personality ... and did I mention she is a dream to photograph?

We started out in the studio and then headed to Ault Park (which I seriously think I am going to have to start paying rent to!). I had some fun doing some more interesting lighting on her ...

We saw this vintage car and she and I both had the same idea ... let's do a photo in front of it! It was even the right color for the season!

Mollie, you and I couldn't have had a better session. I could have chatted with you all day! I hope your senior year is super fun!

Remember the maternity shoot I had a month or so ago?? Well, guess what?!? Baby Lucas finally made his debut! At 10 days old, he's already a model in the making!

I wanted to do some 'fine art' style images from their session. I will say that he is an angel. Such a good baby. And he didn't seem bothered by me at all.

I've known Manny's dad for awhile now and I was absolutely honored when he asked if I would do some family photographs for him. I had met Manny once before, but we didn't get to know each other nearly as much as we did at the shoot. He is a true gem! Such a good heart and what a fun spirited child he is! Needless to say we had a BLAST! Here are a few of their photographs ...

If this post had sound, you would hear "LEEEEEESA! Look! I'm UP-EM-SIDE DOWN!!!" - Yes, he calls me LEEEEESA and no I don't mind at all.

I was down in this weird crouch trying to get a 'low' photo of Manny ... and here he is mimicking me. It cracked me up!

This is what I call the 'parent stance' ... LOL!!!!

Then we went to play in some leaves ... I L-O-V-E the sheer joy on Manny's face! Oh yeah ... and the leaf in his hair :)

Remember childhood? When your dad could scoop you up into his arms and swing you in the air, your feet flailing? Or toss you up in the air and then catch you safely in his arms all the while laughing and being covered in kisses? Well, this photo reminds me of all of that - just being carefree and being a KID!

I had such fun playing with you and being tackled and playing in the leaves and running around and picking a flower (illegally) and jumping and rolling and all of those 'kid things' :) Thanks for bringing Daddy and Poppa along for our play date!

Bad blogger

Ok, so I realize I have been a bad blogger lately. I just can't seem to find the time to get my blog posts together. I still have 3 weddings, at least 10 shoots, and some other things to blog about. I will definitely get on the ball here soon. I am sure some of my clients are wondering why their photos haven't surfaced yet on the blog - they are coming! Promise!

It feels like I did this session so long ago ... but it really wasn't. It could be due to my lack of sleep!

We headed up to DeVou park for Becky and Mark's engagement session and I have to say ... it is probably my favorite session I've ever done there. It was SO beautiful and then you add a fantastic couple and I'm in heaven! I had a great time finding fun new places to shoot there. Here are a few from our time together ...
