Sarah's family

Sarah's family
Sarah and I met at the Aveda store in Kenwood ... I have an Aveda addiction, so she saw me quite a few times. Sarah runs her own salon now. You may have heard of it: 'Eros' salon. If you are looking for someone for your wedding day hair ... give Sarah a call. She's absolutely wonderful to work with!
When she asked me to do some family photos for her parents for their 30th wedding anniversary ... I was super excited. Here are a few from their session ...

Ummm... I just have to say that her parents are absolutely adorable!

her brother ...
Sarah looking fabulous ...
When we got cold, we headed inside for some shots of them enjoying some wine and playing pool (something they love doing together) ...

their headless shot ...

their family is much like ours in that we love hanging out around the kitchen ... so we were sure to include some of that tradition in their shots ...
then it was back outside for some more shots ... this one makes me laugh. They have a hill in their backyard ... and they didn't want to look like they were falling over ... so they over-compensated - cracked me up!

Sarah's dad pulled out the 'mini' Guitar Hero guitar he had ...
and played a little rock-n-roll for us!

Sarah you have the 'funnest' family ever! I had so much fun with you guys - but you already knew that!

After the session ended and I got home ... I had an email from Sarah's mom listing the Top Ten reasons to go to Neysa Ruhl instead of Olan Mills for family photos. And I just had to list them here :)

1 - You can't drink wine at Olan Mills
2 - You can't jump in leaves at Olan Mills
3 - You can't play pool at Olan Mills
4 - You can't play guitar hero at Olan Mills
5 - You can't eat hummus at Olan Mills
6 - You can't tell dirty jokes at Olan Mills
7 - You can't sit in the grass at Olan Mills
8 - You can't hang out on the couch at Olan Mills
9 - You can't order your own pictures at Olan Mills

10 - You can't spend an hour having fun and making memories with your family at Olan Mills!!!

I love it!

Small world! I know Sarah's parents from church... her mom is an extremely talented dancer and choreographer. Before my son was born, she asked if he could be "Baby Jesus" in a musical production as an infant! (Fabulous pictures, Neysa, as always! You always make your sessions FUN and it shows in your subjects.)
