Lane and Kara's wedding
Lane and Kara had their ceremony on a Saturday morning in Dayton. Since I am a 'morning person', I was thrilled! I left the house at 6:00 am and drove up to Country Club of the North. When I got there, Kara was getting her hair done. I posted A LOT more photos than I normally do for my wedding posts because I didn't do the mini collages. Their day was filled with everything a wedding should have: emotion, love, close family, good friends, and great food (cheesy scrambled eggs, bacon, and apple pie) :)
Here are just a few photos from their day ...
First we have some shots of the girls getting ready ...
Kara's gorgeous dress ...
and putting the dress on ...
Kara did one of my favorite veils ... the birdcage!
a couple photos of Lane getting ready ... we got 'kicked out' of the men's locker room ... so Lane put his tie on outside so we could snap a few quick photos.
Lane got Kara a BEAutiful ring as a wedding gift! I think it is safe to say that Kara was surprised!
Lane seeing Kara for the first time that day ...
Kara seeing Lane ...
I love the way these two look at each other ... they are so in love and it shows.
a few photos of the couple after the ceremony ... I loved it that they gave me plenty of time alone with the two of them ... we had fun :)
Since we WERE on a golf course, we decided to hijack a couple of golf carts. Here they are riding behind me in their cart. One of the groomsmen was nice enough to be my chauffeur :)
and a few more portraits ...
I'm a sucker for a redhead - this was the flower girl and she was absolutely adorable.
I had to put this one in here ... Lane's grandmother's surprised look makes me smile!
Their first dance ...
Since they had a morning wedding, they did a brunch reception (what a GREAT idea) and had pies instead of cake! Some of the pies were made by Kara's mom and some were made by some Amish women in the area.
the mother/son dance ...
an emotional dance for father/daughter ...
This next picture is great! Lane surprised Kara and sang for her at the reception! The song he sang is one of my favorites: Brad Paisley's "She's Everything"
and I do have to say ... Lane is extremely talented ...
one of his best men accompanied him on guitar ...
I almost teared up too ... it was such a wonderful moment ...
Mr. and Mrs!!
Making their escape!
Lane and Kara, CONGRATULATIONS!! I wish you both a lifetime of happiness and I hope you are enjoying Fiji!!! I can't wait to hear all about it!
