Amy and Collin: the wedding

Amy and Collin: the wedding

Amy and Collin are, in a word, unique. It is this very quality that I admired the most about them when I met with them about photographing their wedding. They weren't concerned with any of the traditions, they wanted to make it their own. I started out my day at Amy's parent's house ...

From there we went to Paragon Salon downtown ...

Where her friend who lived across the street from her growing up did her hair ...

Then we headed to Nathaniel Green Lodge for the final preparations and for the wedding and reception ... here are the girls checking out the bouquets that Amy's mom made for the wedding ...

The maid-of-honor getting the dress out of the bag ...

Amy does a quick spin in front of the mirror to check things out ...

One of the bridesmaid's husband's came in the room and I saw this ... so cute!

The guys were in another room playing hacky sack.

Then they got dressed ...

Amy and Collin chose to see each other before the ceremony ... Barb got this great shot ...

So, we did a couple of portraits ...

I love my happy brides!

Collin and his dad before the ceremony. His dad officiated the ceremony ...

I love this shot because it really shows how tall Collin is. He is fixing his groomsman's tie for him ... He towers over him - kind of funny :)

Amy waiting for the ceremony to start upstairs in the reception hall ...

Guests waiting for the ceremony to start ...

An overall of the site ...

I love the look she gave Collin right after the kiss!

So, when we got into the reception, there were fake mustaches at everyone's place. So, they all wore them as the couple was introduced ... including Collin and Amy!

Amy got the cutest apron as a wedding gift from one of her aunts and she decided to put it on for dinner so she didn't get anything on her dress. It was super cute!

the parents checking out the cake ...

the father/daughter dance was emotional ...

and this crowd was ready with the baby blanket for dad ...

Cigars!

And that was the end of my evening ....
Amy and Collin, I wish you both all the best and a lifetime of happiness. Congratulations!!
