Update

UPDATE:
While many of you may think that I have fallen off the face of the earth ... let me assure, I am still here. However, there is a rumor going around about winter being a 'slow time'. I am here to 'debunk' the myth. For some reason, I am still busy. Not nearly as busy as wedding season, but busy nonetheless. I guess I am really no good at sitting around.
So, here is what I have been up to (in no particular order):
1. Last weekend, I taught my first photography class at a modeling school. AND, bonus, I didn't permanently damage any young minds (I still have 2 more weeks to do that). I also had a shoot for Cincy Chic. My favorite online, hip, chic Cincinnati ladies magazine. I met some amazing people ... as usual.
Monday morning, Cincy Chic treated it's staff to a spa day at Tuscany Salon. I got a manicure, pedicure and makeup application all thanks to Mrs Amy Scalia! She rocks! She even photographed me after it was all said and done :) Of course, I couldn't just be photographed in a 'normal' fashion ... so this is what we got. And, yes, I am really that pale - I just checked.
2. I updated the Wedding portion of my website
3. I had a couple of shoots with one of my clients who sells custom left-handed guitars, DHR Music. They have some of the most beautiful guitars I have ever seen. Some should just be hung on a wall as 'art'. Although, I think Benedetto would be unhappy with that.
4. I had Jen Swendiman of Really Neat Solutions come over to help tackle the last "unorganized" room in my house (unless, of course, you are counting the garage as 'inside the house'). She's amazing, if you need help in this area, she's a GENIUS. I think I even told her that a dozen times while she was here. Since I had a ton of scrapbooking stuff that I no longer needed, I decided to donate it to Hospice in Dayton where my mom volunteers. She was excited because all of my donations will be used on their craft projects.
5. I have been meeting with clients for 2010 weddings and working on finishing up some albums for 2008 clients.
6. I started an exercise and diet program called P90X with my husband. I have lost 10 lbs and he's lost 12 lbs. AND, I can fit into my favorite pair of jeans again!! Wooooo hoooo!!!! I'm not sure if you've heard of this program before or not, but let me be the first to tell you ... they aren't kidding when they say it is TOUGH. I workout 1 - 1 1/2 hrs a day. So, to reward myself for completing the first 30 days without missing ONE workout and for sticking to the diet, I went to Buckle to get a new pair of jeans. Since I love jeans ... it just made sense. Now the funny part of this story is that apparently I made an impression because I got a hand-written thank you note in the mail today from the salesperson at Buckle. Unless they are doing that for all of their clients. And I didn't even buy the most expensive pair of jeans! Now, if you have ever shopped with me ... you know that I tend to get excited about clothes. My girlfriends and I have had random people holler over the dressing room doors that they wanted to shop with US. We had them rolling! So, in true 'neysa' fashion, I had a mall security guard and another client hanging around my dressing room to see what I would do/try on next (both commenting on what I could wear with what). We had a great time.
7. I signed up for my next big photography workshop. I will tell you all about it - don't worry.
8. We went out with Pete and Amy for dinner on Monday night to Green Papaya. I had never been there, but had heard great things. Wow! I love this place. Great sushi - Mmmmmm!
9. Yesterday, I got my hair 'freshened up' (ie. cut and colored), by the fabulous Christopher from Chambers-Packer Studio. He always makes me feel and LOOK like a million bucks! Genius, I tell you!
Random interjection ... I thought I had found my first gray hair last weekend. So, before Christopher cut my hair, I made him search for it. He said something about me seeing things because there wasn't one to be found. So, I am still in the clear. I'll keep you posted.
I can't really think of anything else at the moment. I have had a few shoots here and there for model portfolios. If you are interested, please send me an email. I'll be posting some more info about 'test shoot' days.
One last thing ... I am starting a personal project. Something I want to do where I am the client. My personal project will be 'people and their ink'. Simply put, I want to photograph people with their tattoos or ink in a creative way. If you happen to know anyone who fits the description and would be interested in being a 'model' (who would be paid in images), please send them my way. This project will be an ongoing project for me for 2009.
That is it for now ... my fingers are tired.

I've seen the P90X infomercials...Sounds like it's working great for you! I'm doing my first triathlon in May, and I've already seen weight changes with my small amount of training! Sounds like you're busy! Love the pink in your photo!

Thom and I have some fun ink, including matching feet. One of our close friends owns a shop, so I think we might be able to help with your project.
We will discuss on our lunch date,
Roberta
