This past weekend we had some good friends in town from Boston. So, Saturday night we went out with them and 3 other couples to go see Ray Lamontagne at Taft. One word sums up the night ... WOW. If you don't know who Ray is ... you are missing out on some of the best vocals out there. The man has a serious set of pipes and such an unusual tone to his voice. We started and ended the evening at Rock Bottom Brewery ... Good friends, great music and some RBB beers = perfect night in downtown Cincy.
Sunday, my husband competed in the Firefighter Combat Challenge in Milford and his team took 3rd place and qualified for the World Challenge in Vegas! Woo hoo!!! Time was 1 min 26 seconds.
My last piece of news is ....
I am officially a P90X graduate!!! Yay me! I have endured 90 days of hell. Ok ... the truth is, it wasn't really that bad and I feel GREAT! For those of you who don't know what P90X is .. click HERE. Two words: it works! Something that I learned on this exercise program ... if you want to get 'cut' ... you HAVE to diet. There is no other way to say it. So, needless to say ... I'm not quite a 'six pack' - couldn't keep away from the food that I love ... but I am much healthier than I was and I feel better. The real problem is ... before I start working out again, I am supposed to take 2 weeks off. It feels really strange. Maybe I'll walk or something this week.
Now in order to stay in shape ... I have to figure out what to do next. I can get the P90X Plus workouts or mix it up with something totally different ... anyone else at this point and what are you going to do?

Neysa I am obsessed with Ray too!!! He is incredible ... so bummed we had to miss the show! Never seen him live, tis definitely on my to-do list :)
Congratulations on your "graduation!" That's AWESOME Neysa! As for next steps (not that I know - I still need to take step 1), have you ever heard of Cross Fit? It's AMAZING and only 7-15 minutes a day - lots of military and police force use it. Check it out at crossfit.com I think. In the mean time, enjoy your two week break!
Congrats on your 90 day graduation! I'm on week 3 and it's kicking my butt. Do you have before and after pics?
