Hubbell and Jeff's Wedding
My day started at Hubbell's parent's house where her mother had set up a 'bridal suite'. I loved it! I was one of the first ones there and was able to photograph the room and the details before anyone else even got to see!
The invitation ...
Hubbell's mom had fresh flowers EVERYWHERE in the house. I had to smell each one as I walked past :)
Hubbell's shoes were FABULOUS! Here they are sitting with her clutch.
a little dress detail ...
Hubbell's bouquet was wonderful. It had so many different types of flowers ... so fun.
Her family has photos up all over the house - here is Hubbell showing me the photos in the upstairs hallway ...
Checking her hair ...
putting on makeup ...
putting on the dress ... with some help from the girls ...
Here she is looking fabulous ...
Here are some shots that Karen took of Jeff getting ready ... and being a 'ham' :)
helping out a friend in need ... and besides ... it is HARD to tie a tie backwards!
and an emotional moment while reading the card from Hubbell.
The ceremony was held at St. Francis de Sales. The church was gorgeous and the ceremony was wonderful. Hubbell and Jeff both come from parents who have been married for over 35 years and are entering into this with a full knowlege of what it takes to make a marriage work. Here is Jeff seeing his bride for the first time that day ... and here is Hubbell and her father coming down the aisle. I love how her dad is looking over at her ...
during the ceremony, Jeff pulled a handkerchief out of his pocket to wipe away Hubbell's tears of joy ...
I'm not sure why this next photo makes me chuckle ... maybe it is because during their kiss, the pastor is busy fixing her dress - so cute.
Mr. and Mrs!!
A detail shot at the reception .. they had the name cards tied to an ornate plant stand - it was perfect!
Hubbell took off her veil and put in a flower in it's place for the reception ...
Some of their portraits ...
The cake ...
their first dance ...
the speeches were incredibly emotional ... here is Hubbell's dad giving the 'sign' for 'continuation or continuing on' (if I remember correctly).
Extremely touching for Hubbell and I love the way Jeff is reaching out to console her.
One quick kiss among all of the commotion ...
And THEN ... the band started playing ...
They hired a band called 'Uncle Rich Skeleton' and, I have to say ... AMAZING!! They did a lot of swing music, some motown, and some oldies but goodies, and everyone danced the night away ...
Did I mention that this woman has some PIPES on her??
Hubbell and Jeff, I wish you a lifetime of happiness! I truly enjoyed spending your day with you.
Another big THANK YOU to Karen for helping out. You did a great job and I loved working with you!

I needed the laugh (Jeff getting ready) - Love the fun photo you took of him.
Beautiful post! This reminds me of my wedding which was 7 years ago in one of the Los Angeles venues. My best friend was my makeup artist, my photographer and my bridesmaid. She still means the world to me. My wedding was a success and it was because she took half of the load from my shoulders and I love her for that. She has always been there for me.
