Sneak Peek 10.25.08

Sneak Peek from 10.25.08
First I have to say thank you to all of my October brides. With all of the portrait sessions I had last month, wedding photos took a bit longer than normal to get out. I don't like to rush my post-processing, so I love it that my couples aren't pressuring me to get them done sooner!
Even though I haven't heard from Jordan and Lauren about their photos, I still wanted to get a quick sneak peek up here for them. Their wedding was nothing short of absolutely fabulous and everything was classy from beginning to end. I'll have more of their images up later on this week when everything is finished, but for now ... here are a few.

A few more ... for good measure

A few more ... for good measure
I wanted to post a few with mom and dad in them too (now that I got the 'ok') - believe it or not, some parents don't want to be on the blog! Jess and Steve are not one of them though! :)

If this next shot had audio, you would hear a song from Dora the Explorer!

This next shot is great! I am doing photos of Jessica and Steve, and as I'm looking through the eyepiece, I see their kids racing up the sidewalk! I think it is a good representation of their life :)

This next one ... I love because this is how Jessica is ALL THE TIME. Rarely do you ever see her not smiling or laughing. This shot makes me smile :)

Steve asked for a few photos of Jessica ... shots in which she totally rocked it out!

And since he made Jess get in front of the camera by herself, we made HIM do it too!

Thanks guys for a fun session!

Ayla and Emma

Ayla and Emma
Ayla and Emma have been coming to me for a couple of years now. They are so much fun to photograph. This year we chose Ault Park as our background.
Here are a few from our session ...

Emma prefers to be photographed in a 'photojournalistic' way :) She told me that.

This one is so cute ...

I think Ayla is going to be a model!

Then we got some of the girls together ...

Ayla and Emma, I couldn't have had more fun! Thanks for having mom and dad bring you out for our session!

Jen and Greg's engagement

Jen and Greg's engagement

A new location! Jen and Greg wanted to go to a couple of locations for their engagement shoot. We started at Eden Park and ended up at Newport on the Levee. It was a perfect day to photograph. Nice and warm but with some pretty fall color. I had fun finding new places to photograph. Here are a few from our time together ...

this one is so cute. They are really affectionately, fun couple ... and this shot shows that playful side ...

If you go down to Newport ... you have to get a skyline shot ...
or two ...
on the way back to the car, I made them stop so I could play with using the bottom of the bridge as a background. I am really glad I did, because they ended up being some fun shots ...

Jen and Greg, the wedding is going to be so fun and I am already looking forward to it!!

Leslie and Brad's engagement

Leslie and Brad's engagement session
I drove up to OSU to photograph Leslie and Brad's esession. It was the first time I met Leslie (up until then we had only chatted in emails) and I can safely say that I absolutely ADORE her. She's such a sweet girl and seeing her with Brad was such a treat. They are so sweet together.
Here are a few from their session ...

I have to write something about this next photo. As I was standing in the weeds getting this shot, there was a student walking down the path next to me. I heard him say and audible WHOA. I stopped shooting and looked up. As soon as he saw me ... he said 'Ahhhh!' He said 'Wow. I just saw this couple standing in this AMAZING light and holding hands and I thought - THIS is a Kodak moment if there ever was one.' So, when he saw me ... he realized that they weren't just standing there completely on their own, but rather, I had strategically placed them there. He looked at me again as he walked by and said 'That's a great shot!' I had to laugh and so did Leslie and Brad ...

Love this one!

OSU's campus is B-E-A-utiful!!! Ok Ok .. they are pretty darned good looking too!

this one makes me smile!

Our last shots were at a bar near campus that Brad and Leslie used to frequent. One of the patrons was nice enough to allow us to use his seat - which used to be Brad's 'regular' spot :)
Brad and Leslie, I think it goes without saying that I loved you guys. Such a great shoot and you two made the trip worth it!! I had such a wonderful evening with you guys and I can't wait for the wedding!
